Data Deletion Policy
Your privacy matters. This page explains how you can delete your data associated with the PhotoJournal app and services.
Data Stored On Your Device
PhotoJournal stores your journal entries, photos, and app settings locally on your device. To delete this local data, simply uninstall the app. Uninstalling removes all data stored by the app on your device.
Data Stored on Our Servers
If you have created an account or synced data with our cloud services, you can delete your server-stored data at any time.
Option 1: Delete Account From Within The App (Recommended)
You can delete your account and all associated data directly from the PhotoJournal app:
- Open the PhotoJournal app
- Open the side navigation menu
- Tap on Account
- Scroll down to the Delete Account section
- Follow the prompts to permanently delete your account
When you delete your account through the app, all your cloud-stored data including journal entries, photos, and shared pages will be immediately and permanently deleted. This action cannot be undone.
Option 2: Request Deletion Via Email
If you prefer, or if you no longer have access to the app, you can request deletion by emailing us at:
privacy@photojournal.app
Subject: Data Deletion Request
Please include the email address associated with your PhotoJournal account so we can verify your identity.
Once we receive your request and complete verification, we will permanently delete your cloud-stored data within 30 days and notify you when the process is complete.
Shared Pages
If you have created any Shared Pages (unlisted links that display selected journal entries), these pages and their associated content will be deleted as part of your account deletion. Shared links will immediately become inaccessible.
Verification (Email Requests Only)
For your security, when you request deletion via email, we may require you to verify your identity or confirm account ownership before completing your deletion request.
